How We Found Beautiful Inexpensive Wedding Rings:
Engagement Ring
Finding the perfect inexpensive wedding rings and engagement ring can be difficult. Diamonds are beautiful and timeless but they can be extremely expensive. After weeks of searching for the best alternative, the closest match I could find was a moissanite stone. I found a 1.5ct moissanite stone on a 1mm yellow gold band. Be sure to buy your stone from a credible source, I found mine on Etsy that came with a certificate. The prices can range from $500 – $5,000 depending on the size of the stone, here is a link to a ring similar to mine.
Reasons why I chose moissanite:
- 1/10th of the cost of a diamond
- Considered a forever stone; 9.25 on the Mohs Scale Hardness
- Never Discolours
- Perfect clarity
- Perfect symmetry
That meant that I could have a timeless ring very similar to a diamond, that would last forever, never scuff or discolor for a fraction of the cost. I constantly have people asking me about my ring, I often tell them it’s a moissanite stone and they are shocked that it isn’t a diamond.
Bride’s Wedding Band
I wanted a very simple wedding band to go with my engagement ring and chose a yellow gold 1mm band with 9 diamonds.
I was able to find one on sale on Etsy for $230; here is a similar band to mine on Etsy.
Groom’s Wedding Band
My husband also wanted a very simple ring, that he wouldn’t have to worry about keeping clean since he works with his hands. We found a 5mm wide, white brushed gold wedding band on Etsy.
The cost of the ring will depend on the width of the band and the circumference of the ring. We were able to find one for $500, here is a similar ring to the one we bought.
