If you want to enhance the look of your bathroom on a tight budget then I highly recommend adding floor-to-ceiling shower curtains. Adding a ceiling-mounted curtain rod along with 2 full-length linen shower curtain panels really elevated our bathroom remodel. If you don’t have the budget for linen there are several types of fabric that give the same elegant aesthetic.

Ceiling-Mounted Curtain Rod
Ceiling-mounted curtain rods are a great way to elevate the look of your bathroom on a budget. There is nothing worse than a tension rod falling when you are about to hop in the shower so a secured rod was an absolute must for me. I loved the look of a ceiling-mounted rod and didn’t want to drill into the wall tiles so this rod was the perfect fit for our bathroom. A simple black design was the perfect mix between modern and elegant.
Floor-Length Curtains
Floor-length curtains are another great way to make your curtains look more expensive. We have short ceilings (8 feet) and adding floor-length curtains made our ceiling look much taller. I love the look of draped curtains on the floor but for sanitary reasons, I kept them half an inch off the floor. I ordered 89-inch curtains to hang perfectly in our space.

Linen Shower Curtain
To match our modern fixtures, I chose a neutral, natural-looking curtain that was both modern and elegant. I was gifted these beautiful linen curtains from Two Pages Curtains in the color Safari. I loved the texture of the linen curtains so I decided to keep them unlined to emphasize the texture of the curtains.
There are several header styles and I chose the 4-in-1 style which meant I could use the header in all 4 styles. This allows for more options if I want to hang them in a different style later.
If you want a fuller curtain or curtains on either side of the shower, I suggest buying 2 curtain panels. I ordered 2 panels that were 62″ x 89″ each, this way each panel spans the entire length of the shower.
Curtain details:
Curtains: Lacey 100% linen drapery soft top
Colour: Safari
Header Style: 4-in-1
Liner Type: Unlined
Panel Measurements: 62″ x 89″ (x2 Panels)
Curtain Rod: Jaylon curtain rod 44-78″
Shower Curtain Liner
Rather than adding a white waterproof curtain liner, I chose a clear plastic liner to keep it from blocking the window light. If your space has a lot of light then a white liner would look great but since our bathroom has a shaded window I wanted to keep the room as bright as possible.
If your curtains are floor-length, you will also need an extra-long shower curtain. I found the perfect 84″ shower curtain liner on Amazon that fit behind my linen curtain perfectly. I only added a liner to one panel as I can pull one panel across the entire length of the shower and the second panel is more so for decoration and to make the curtains look more full.
Curtain Clips
I chose simple black metal curtain rings to match the black metal curtain rod. The curtain rings have small clips to easily attach the curtain and liner to the same clip. I also purchased curtain rings that could open to easily remove them from the rod.
